Locle Technology Spin-Off SocietyMail Wins Eircom Web Innovation Award 2009

We are excited to have won the Eircom Web Innovation Award for the second year running. This year we pitched with a by-product from the Locle platform.
SocietyMail is an add-on for webmail systems such as Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and Zimbra Collaboration Suite that creates a ‘social’ inbox by bringing email and social network updates into one place.
The IP for SocietyMail was created during the development of Locle and we plan to spin it out into its own entity with an external software development partner, in line with Enterprise Ireland’s ‘innovation economy’ strategy.
This will allow us to continue to focus on Locle as it builds traction.
